Raised on a roof.
Kilker Roofing started on farms in northern Illinois in the 1970s, when a neighbor asked Derik’s grandfather and his sons to re-roof a barn. Then the next farm asked. Then the next one.
Derik grew up on those roofs with his grandfather, father and uncle, took over the roofing business at 18, and moved it to North Texas in 2011. Today Kilker Roofing & Construction is based in Frisco and works across Collin and Denton counties.
We’re a construction company, not a roofing sales organization. That means we look for the actual problem. Sometimes that’s a full roof. A lot of the time it’s a pipe boot, a bad flashing detail or somebody’s old patch job.

Common questions
Do you charge for a roof inspection?
No. Inspections are free. We’ll get on the roof, take photos, and tell you what we see, whether that ends up being a repair, a replacement, an insurance claim or nothing at all.
Do you do roof repairs, or only full replacements?
Both. A lot of roofing companies only want the full replacement. If your roof has life left and a repair fixes the problem, we’ll tell you that and fix it. See roof repair.
Can you help with my insurance claim for hail or wind damage?
Yes. We inspect and document the damage, can meet your adjuster at the property, and write our estimate so the scope matches what the roof actually needs. Your claim is between you and your insurance company, but you won’t be doing it alone. See storm damage.
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Frisco and work throughout Collin and Denton counties and the North Dallas area, including McKinney, Plano, Allen, Prosper, Little Elm, The Colony, Lewisville, Carrollton, Coppell and Denton. See all areas.

Kilker Roofing is owner-led. Derik Kilker has been roofing since he was a kid working with his grandfather, father and uncle, and he wants every customer to be able to reach him directly.
